Specsavers in Sittingbourne has been paid a visit by man’s best friend to encourage sponsorship donations ahead of the KM Charity Walk.

Specsavers, located at The Forum, greeted training guide dog puppies and trainers who came in to show their support for the staff taking part in the five-mile walk.

On Sunday 28 June, the team will be lacing up their trainers to raise money for Guide Dogs and the KM Charity Team, joining others across Kent to make a difference.

Raising vital funds for charity

Specsavers Sittingbourne store director, David Moorman says: ‘It was a lovely surprise to have the guide dogs come to the store and help us raise money!

‘In only our first week of fundraising, we raised £95.00 and have a £200 target to hit. We’d like to encourage the Sittingbourne community to sponsor our team – both Guide Dogs and the KM Charity Team do fantastic work and we want to help as much as we can. We’ve got seven team members doing the walk and all of us will be cheering them on.’
