Acocks Green store manager, Natalie Geoghegan is swapping specs for goggles to raise money for local charities.
For the third year running, Natalie is taking part in the Leamington and Warwick Soroptimists’ Swimathon on Sunday 1 November. Her team includes Specsavers optician, John Vagg from Leamington Spa and Terry Tam, store director at Stourbridge. Each team swims in relay for 55 minutes, to see how many laps they can achieve.
Natalie says: ‘I’ve taken part for the last two years, while I was store manager at Specsavers in Leamington. It’s always so much fun taking part, especially for such good causes. The event is very well-organised and the Soroptimists make it an enjoyable day for everyone.’
The Soroptimists’ Swimathon takes place at Warwick School and raises money for Warwickshire Vision Support and the local Citizens’ Advice Bureau. For more information, visit their website.
