Shipley's Specsavers adopts Guide Dogs as charity partner
Specsavers in Shipley has pledged to raise vital funds for Guide Dogs during the next 12 months.
The team in Shipley has chosen to back the charity - who provide mobility and freedom to partially sighted people by training guide dogs.
The store supported Guide Dogs in 2013 and raised more than £3,600 for the cause and this year, staff at the store plan to hold raffles, tombolas and fundraising days to raise even more valuable funds for the charity.
Bhrat Phakey, store director said: ‘As a business serving our local community for many years, we feel it is important to make a commitment to raise money for a local charity.
‘We’re really pleased to announce that we will once again be pledging our support to Guide Dogs, which provides fantastic support to blind and partially sighted people.
‘Our customers in Shipley have been great at helping us raise money for Guide Dogs in the past, and I’d like to ask them to continue to show their support over the next 12 months by coming into the store and getting involved in our fundraising activities.’
