Specsavers Sittingbourne has had a shiny new refit – and the team would love to see you in store at The Forum to show you the improvements in person.
Alongside being a much nicer environment for staff and customers, and a new test room, the store now boasts new technology in the form of an ocular coherence tomography (OCT) machine.
Early detection matters
An OCT scan helps show the health of your eye in detail, by showing what is happening underneath the surface. This is especially good for detecting conditions that may not show any symptoms until they have damaged your sight.
Early detection really matters in protecting your vision, and an OCT scan can even help to detect glaucoma up to four years earlier than traditional methods.
A word from the store director
Caroline Matthews, store director in Sittingbourne, said: ‘Having an OCT scan is a bit like seeing the inside of a cake. Traditional methods allow us to see the top and the icing, while an OCT scan shows us all the layers.
‘Our OCT machine offers hospital grade technology on the high street, and we are really excited to be able to share it with our customers. So why not book a scan with your eye test today.’
