Seeing more clearly in Sittingbourne
Local schools in Sittingbourne have been helped to stay safe in the dark by Specsavers, located at The Forum.
Vests for three schools
Staff at the store went along to three schools to distribute high visibility vests; these included St Edwards Catholic Primary School, Richmond Primary School and Minster Community Primary School.
200 vests were donated so that the children can wear them and be visible to traffic, as winter nights have got darker.
Specsavers store director, Caroline Matthews said: 'These vests have helped the pupils stay that bit safer on these cold winter evenings.
'We want to support our community by providing our local schoolchildren with visible items of clothing, so that traffic can be wary of them when they're walking to and from school.'
