A group of school children have benefitted from a donation of high-visibility vests from Specsavers Cheltenham.

The store handed over 60 vests to St James’ C of E Primary School who used them when they took a trip to the Young Voices concert in Birmingham, the largest school choir concert in the world.

Rachel Hughes, Year 1 teacher at St James’ C of E Primary School, said: ‘Thank you so much to Specsavers for the hi-vis vests which not only made entering and exiting the arena much easier, they also helped our parents spot their children from the other side of the arena! A great addition to our Young Voices experience.’

A word from the store director

Melanie Brackstone, store director, added: ‘We’re so pleased that the vests have been helpful for the children and parents. Obviously, it’s important for the children to be spotted during the long winter nights, but the school has also demonstrated that the vests can be used in different ways too.’
