School children are seen clearly thanks to opticians
Specsavers in Kidderminster has helped ensure children are seen during the dark nights by donating 30 high-visibility vests to a local school.
Specsavers donated the vests to a class in St.George’s Primary School. This activity forms part of Specsavers’ support of Road Safety Week (17-23 November), which is organised by road safety charity, Brake.
‘Now the clocks have gone back the nights and mornings are much darker, particularly during times when school children may be walking to and from school. Hopefully the school will make the most of these donations and it provides peace of mind for both parents and teachers,’ said store director Timothy Reeves.
Specsavers stores across the country are donating high-visibility vests to local schools as part of an initiative to keep local school children safe when out and about this winter.
Road Safety Week is organised by Brake, the national road safety charity which helps to save lives and support people bereaved by road crashes.
