Staff from Specsavers located on King Street donned their festive knits in exchange for a donation to Save the Children on Christmas Jumper Day 2016.

Specsavers South Shields store director, Bryan Clark, said: ‘Nothing says Christmas more than a fun and festive jumper. What better way to support the incredible work that Save the Children does than to raise a smile from all our customers.

Life saving donations

‘There is a serious side to the silliness as each pound donated by staff and customers helps save the lives of millions of children around the world who die before their fifth birthday from easily preventable diseases. It’s a hard statistic to read at this time of year and that’s why we’re committed to showing some festive pullover power and raising as much money as we can.’
