Eyecare experts in Saltcoats are urging local families to use the remainder of the summer holidays as a chance to schedule important routine health checks.

The Specsavers team in the town is calling for parents to think about eye tests over the last few weeks of the holidays, and book themselves and their kids in for this vital check.

A word from the store director

Al Ferdinand, store director at Specsavers in Saltcoats, said: ‘Family life can be very hectic and it’s easy to let important regular health checks fall by the wayside. But the summer holidays are a good time to take stock and get booked in for appointments such as eye tests.

‘We recommend an eye test every two years and it’s important to get children used to these checks early. Visit us in store and our team will be happy to help.’
