Local scouts group see solar eclipse in US

Specsavers in Salisbury were honoured to take part in a 'dream come true' trip for a local scouts group.

Off to watch solar eclipse!

Assistant Scout Leader, Gordon Baird from the 1st Laverstock Scout group got in touch to see if Specsavers could help with their trip to the US to watch the solar eclipse. Suffice it say, they were delighted when Sue Marchant, store director at Specsavers in Salisbury, got back to say they would be happy to provide by the group with a set of solar viewers.

Ensuring vision was protected on the day

Sue says: 'What an amazing experience this was for our local Scouts group. We were delighted to be involved and ensure their eyes were protected on the big day with the purchase of solar viewers for the boys.'

A big thank you!

The solar viewers cost approximately £150 for the group and Gordon Baird has expressed his thanks to Specsavers on behalf of the 1st Laverstock Scout Group.
