Sale store set for £400,000 expansion
The Sale store has set its sights on delivering world-class eye care and hearcare right in the heart of the community following the beginning of work on its £400,000 redevelopment and extension.
Work on the major refit at Sale Specsavers began on Monday 11 October and will provide new facilities, space and services to customers as well as creating a number of new jobs.
This store expansion will double the amount of testing rooms from three to six, and also provide the store with its first dedicated hearcare hub, a soundproof room with the latest in hearcare technology.
The store will also continue to offer Digital Precision Eyecare, a cutting-edge new way of selecting and fitting customers’ glasses, using imaging software on tablet devices.
This new interactive technology, which enables staff to ensure customers receive the very best professional care and advice in frame selection, their prescription, vision and lifestyle needs,.
As well as making more appointments available, the revamp will see customers offered an extended range of Specsavers’ own and also designer frames to choose from. It will also see the creation of a brand new dedicated contact lens area.
The future of eyecare
Retail director Steven Dare confirmed that the expansion will also see more members of staff recruited in order to meet the store’s growing business needs.
