17 team members from the Sale and Altrincham Specsavers stores are taking part in a charity fundraiser in September to raise money for a local charity.
The staff members have all signed up for this year’s Tough Mudder North West, and will be raising money in the run up to the event for Manchester based charity Stockdales.
The course is approximately 12 miles long, and will challenge the team’s stamina as they make their way through a number of difficult obstacles including climbing a 15 ft. wall and being plunged into 20 tonnes of ice.
The team is hoping to raise as much money as possible for Stockdales, a charity which provides care for children and adults living with learning disabilities all over Manchester.
Retail director Steven Dare is taking part, and is eager to bring awareness to the work Stockdales do, saying: “The Stockdales team do incredible work and visiting the charity recently really brought home much effort goes into keeping a local organisation like this thriving.
They make a massive difference to the individuals they care for and their families and I know the entire team in both Sale and Altrincham are very proud to be able to help them.”
