Saffron Walden gift amnesty donation
Specsavers Saffron Walden will donate the local community's unwanted children’s presents to East Anglian Children’s Hospices.
The store has been acting as a collection hub for unwanted children’s gifts such as, toys, board games and books, as part of a Christmas present amnesty appeal throughout 2014. The presents will be taken to East Anglian Children’s Hospice, which provides care and support to children and young people with life-threatening conditions and their families.
Store thanks customers and residents
Tania Jenkinson, store director said: ‘It is great that we can re-home these wonderful but unwanted presents that would have otherwise been consigned to a life in a cupboard or drawer. We would like to thank everyone who has supported the amnesty.’
Ongoing fundraising for EACH
Specsavers stores in and around Essex have come together to partner with the East Anglian Children’s Hospice and will be fundraising all year, and hope to raise £25,000 for the charity.
