Running for Red Nose Day
Staff and kind customers at Specsavers in Cameron Toll raised an impressive £1,422 during the store’s Red Nose Day fundraisers.
The stores’ charity total contributed to the £475,000 raised by Specsavers stores and offices throughout the UK.
Running Running Running
Staff at the Cameron Toll store challenged themselves to complete a 425 mile run, the distance from the Edinburgh store to Specsavers headquarters in Guernsey, in exchange for donations, raising over £800.
The store also sold waving Specsavers Red Nose Day glasses, raising an additional £546. The glasses cost only £2 with the whole £2 from each pair going directly to Comic Relief to spend on life-changing projects both at home in the UK and across Africa.
Huge thank you
Damien Noade, store director of Specsavers Cameron Toll, said: ‘We’d like to thank all our customers for their support – we have been overwhelmed by their generosity.
