All eyes were on Specsavers in Rugby as it welcomed a very special guest to its official 25th anniversary celebrations on Friday 1 August.

The Mayor of Rugby, Councillor Ramesh Srivastava, visited the store to mark the store’s anniversary and join in the celebrations.

To mark the quarter of a century milestone, the store donated £1 from every eye examination carried out between Saturday 26 July and Saturday 2 August to its nominated local charity. In total, more than £300 was raised which went to Brooke School in Overslade Lane, Rugby.

‘We were honoured to have the Mayor and Mayoress join us on Friday to celebrate this special occasion,’ said store director Bhavna Hughes.

‘It’s hard to believe that it’s been 25 years, and I’d like to say a big thank you to all the team and our loyal customers for their support over this time.

We’re now looking ahead to the next 25!’

Brooke School is a learning community that provides quality learning experiences for children and young people (2-19 years old) with a wide range of individual needs.
