Staff at the Specsavers Audiologists on Queen Street, Cardiff, were given the chance to meet Gareth Edwards, a former Welsh international rugby player and legend, when he visited the store.
Gareth Edwards, who is widely regarded as one of the best Welsh rugby players of all time, came to the store to be seen by audiologist, Robert Jones, and fitted with electronic shooting ear protectors.
These were fitted for Gareth to protect his hearing while he carries out his shooting hobby.
Kevin Thomas, store director of Specsavers Audiologists in Cardiff, said: ‘It was an honour for our staff to meet the legend that is Gareth Edwards – he is highly regarded as a rugby icon, especially in Cardiff.
‘Our dedicated audiologists at the Queen Street store are available to help and advise our customers about any hearcare concerns they might have. The warning signs of hearing loss and damage aren’t always clear so when stars like Gareth Edwards visit, it can provide a good reminder to our community of the services we provide at Specsavers.’
