£300 raised for Yorkshire Air Ambulance
Specsavers in Ripon has raised £300 for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance during its birthday celebrations.
The optician, which has been located at Fishergate for over 12 years, is supporting the charity throughout 2017.
To mark the store’s birthday the team hosted a fun day featuring a lucky dip tombola, which raised £96 on the day.
Caroline Sullivan, store director at Specsavers in Ripon, said: ‘We’re thrilled to be continuing to support the Yorkshire Air Ambulance service for another year as it’s such an integral organisation in North Yorkshire.
‘We’re really pleased to have raised nearly £100 during our fun day and we’d like to thank everyone who came in to donate.’
Specsavers in Ripon topped up money raised by donating £1 per eye test to the charity raising a further £200 and bringing the total raised to almost £300.
The store was also visited by Star Wars characters during the fun day and birthday celebrations.
