Ripley Specsavers organised a collection of toys to bring the magic of Christmas to local families who are struggling this year.
The team at the Oxford Street store acted as a collection point in the first two weeks of December, for donations of new toys which can be gifted to children this Christmas. Thirty toys and books were given by staff and customers and taken to Ripley Salvation Army to be wrapped ready for the big day.
Helping in the community
Store director, Kuldip Dosanjh, said: ‘We feel very lucky for what we have, especially at this time of year, and we think it’s important to help out in our own community, even in a small way.
‘This year we’re hoping to bring a bit of joy to Christmas for people who are finding themselves in a difficult situation.’
