The team at Specsavers in Ripley is celebrating two years of business in the town centre with a beach themed birthday party on Saturday 6 August.
A day of fun, games and goodies
With summer in full swing, the store is taking advantage of the sunshine and inviting customers and passers-by to join in for a day of fun, games and goodies.
Staff will be dressed in lifeguard attire, giving out free beach themed goodie bags, beach balls and glasses cases to visitors. Face-painting and balloon modelling will also be on offer for children, tasty treats will be served throughout the event and stilt walkers will add to the day’s entertainment.
‘When we opened our doors in August 2014, we had eight members of staff and were keen to build great relationships with people in the local community,’ store director Kuldip Dosanjh commented. ‘Since then, we have grown to a 12-strong team, raised money and awareness for local and national charities, and seen so many customers time after time for our services.’
The store will also be welcoming representatives from the Ripley Hospital Eye Clinic to join them on the day. The team at Specsavers in Ripley have been supporting the hospital throughout the last year with a variety of fundraising activities, and will present the eye clinic with a cheque for more than £2,000.
Kuldip continued: ‘The event will be a great chance to enjoy the brighter weather as well as celebrate our second birthday. Here’s to our future in Ripley!’
