Richmondshire players tackle eye health
A Richmondshire football squad made time during their summer break to check up on their eye health.
The Colburn Corinthians visited long-time sponsor Specsavers in King Street, Richmond, to have their eyes tested by the optical specialists.
A word from the store director
Ross Campbell, director of Specsavers in Richmond said: ‘It was a pleasure to have the lads in store for a team check-up. ‘Eye tests are not only important in monitoring changes in your sight, but also act as general eye-health assessments, and we recommend people of all ages schedule one every two years at least.
‘We know it can be difficult finding time amid a hectic work and family life schedule, but why not follow the example of the Corinthians and make your appointment over the summer months when you have some down time?’
A word from the team
Kieran Plumb of the Colburn Corinthians added: ‘As footballers, good eyesight is important every time we step on the pitch. Moreover, good health and wellbeing is just as important too.
‘We hope that by coming together as a team for our eye tests, it will encourage and remind people across Richmondshire to make time for this important element of our regular healthcare routines.’
