Staff at Specsavers in Milngavie raised an impressive £683.08 during the store’s Red Nose Day fundraisers. Customers donated generously to the bake sale and also got the chance to take part in a game of ‘guess how many frames are in the jar’.
Fun for all
Staff dressed in Red Nose Day t-shirts to encourage donations, and there was face and nail painting for the kids, and a drawing competition.
The store also stocked Specsavers’ Red Nose Day glasses in small and large sizes – and sold 226 pairs. The glasses cost £3 with £1 being donated to Comic Relief.
'Overwhelmed by the support'
Caroline Kinsey, store director of Specsavers in Milngavie, said: ‘We've been overwhelmed by the support from our customers. All our staff have had lots of fun making their faces funny for money this Red Nose Day and everyone’s so pleased that we were able to contribute a great amount to Specsavers’ total.’
