In December the Nottingham opticians got into the festive spirit and raised money for charity on Christmas Jumper Day, raising a total of more than £60.
Staff from Specsavers located on Wheeler Gate donned their festive knits in exchange for a donation. They combined the £21 collected on the day with the £44.66 raised from bake sales held in store throughout December, and donated the final amount to the Vision Care charity for homeless people.
Specsavers Nottingham store director, Simon Dunn, said: ‘Nothing says Christmas more than a fun and festive jumper. What better way to support the incredible work that the Vision Care does than to raise a smile from all our customers.’
Vision Care for homeless people is a charity set-up to provide eyecare services to homeless and other vulnerable people in an accessible and friendly environment in which they feel safe, welcome and comfortable.
