December is here and Specsavers in Fairhill Shopping Centre has declared it Christmas Jumper month! The Specsavers team have entered into the festive spirit by donning their Christmas jumpers every weekend throughout the month to raise money for the charity VisPa.

Festive fundraising

Store Director Valerie Penney says, ‘Christmas Jumper Day is usually restricted to one day but we decided to go all out to try and raise as much money as possible and have some fun along the way. Following our colleague Jill Holmes VisPa trip to Kenya during the summer we felt that we would like to continue our support of the important work the charity does with its orphanage and school. What better way to do that than by raising a smile from all our customers.’

VisPa in Kenya

VisPa is a Christian charity set up several years ago from Brookside Presbyterian Church in Ahoghill which supports an orphanage and school complex in the village of Kisumu in Kenya.
