Fundraiser for Sports Relief
TWO LOCAL stores have told its team to get on their bike as they gear up for this year’s Sports Relief activity.

Specsavers in Ilkley and Otley have been inspired by the cycling heritage in the region and will have an exercise bike in each store on Saturday 19 March. The team will be showing their support for Sports Relief by each store cycling 100 miles between 11am – 3pm. The teams hope that customers will drop in to show their encouragement and dig deep to support Sport Relief.

A word from the store director
Roger Copely, store director at the Ilkley and Otley Specsavers, says: ‘The teams at both stores really wanted to get involved with Sport Relief as it is such a great cause. Our staff love getting into the fundraising spirit, so expect lots of fun in store – there will also be a bun sale!

‘With the public’s support, we hope to raise an impressive amount of money for the charity, which helps to improve the lives of disadvantaged people living in the UK and the world’s poorest countries. I would like to thank all of our customers in advance for their support.’

To support the Specsavers stores raising funds for Sport Relief, simply make a donation in the store, on Kirkgate in Otley or in The Moors Shopping Centre in Ilkley, over the Sport Relief Weekend (18 – 20 March). For more information about Sport Relief, visit www.sportrelief.com.
