The team at Specsavers Aylesbury opticians has welcomed a new store director on board.
Rachael King has joined the store in partnership with Ansar Asghar to run the 50 strong optical and audiology practice.
Familiar face to Specsavers
No stranger to Specsavers, Rachael has made the move from the Marlborough store where she was the director for five years, having notched up more than 36 years’ optical experience both here in the UK and in New Zealand where she lived until 2002.
‘I was born in the UK and my family emigrated to New Zealand when I was 11 years old,’ commented Rachael. ‘I started my optical career aged 18 working as a receptionist in an independent opticians and quickly realised it was the industry for me.’
After gaining her dispensing optician qualification, Rachael a mother of two set up her own practice in New Zealand before returning to the UK and joining Specsavers.
‘It’s been a fantastic journey to date and I’m excited about this next chapter here at Aylesbury Specsavers where everyone has made me feel so welcome,’ added Rachael. ‘We are committed to providing the very best optical and audiology services to our customers – so to help facilitate this I’m keen to ensure each member of the team is developed to the best they can be, with support and training they need.’
