Puppy fever for Bishops Stortford
Specsavers Opticians in Bishops Stortford welcomed guide dog puppies into store as they championed an initiative for Guide Dogs.
The store invited the puppies to come in with their owner to raise awareness of the Guide Dogs charity and to rally support from customers and passers-by.
The store held an array of fundraising activities in support of the charity. As well as putting on a spread of baked goods, there were a number of competitions giving customers the opportunity to win some great prizes while raising vital funds for the charity. £1 from each sight test was donated to the Guide Dogs charity.
Store director, Tania Jenkinson, says: ‘It is always great fun supporting the Guide Dogs charity and we are thrilled that we have raised vital funds to help them continue their great work. Guide dogs are extremely important in serving the blind and visually impaired and in many instances, they help to provide a level of normality in day to day life.
‘It is easy to forget the impact that these dogs can have on the lives of those who most need them and it’s important that we do what we can to remind people of this.’
