Pudsey ladies don trainers in aid of Cancer Research UK
Three members of staff from Pudsey Specsavers have taken part in this year’s Cancer Research UK’s Race for Life.
Specsavers Pudsey colleagues Zoe Smart, Amy Walker and Natalie Dell donned their trainers on Sunday 29 June to take part in the 5k race at Temple Newsome. The team had been training hard over the last few months and raised a substantial amount to help fund the vital work of Cancer Research UK.
Amy Walker, optical assistant at Specsavers Pudsey said: ‘We really enjoyed the event and we have raised a great amount of money for this really worthwhile charity.’
James Pickersgill, store director of Specsavers Pudsey said: ‘We’re really impressed with the Race for Life team’s efforts and are urging colleagues and customers to dig deep and help them to suceed their fundraising target.’
Cancer Research UK’s Race for Life is a series of 5k or 10k women-only fundraising events, which are raising money for research to help beat all 200 types of cancer sooner.
