Specsavers donates high-vis vests to local school
Pupils at Crockerne Primary School receive their hi-vis vests

Specsavers in Portishead helped pupils from two local primary schools be seen clearly this winter thanks to a donation of high-visibility vests to mark Road Safety Week (17-23 November).

The store donated 100 high-visibility vests to Crockerne Primary School, Pill, and a further 100 vests to St. Peter’s Church of England Primary School, Portishead. The vests will ensure the pupils are seen when out and about.

Road Safety Week is an initiative from national road safety charity Brake, of which Specsavers is a co-sponsor. This year’s theme was ‘Look out for each other’ with Brake calling for all road users to put safety first, be considerate to each other and not to take any chances, which includes making sure you can be seen.

‘Now that the clocks have gone back, it gets dark very early so we hope the vests will ensure that local school children can be easily seen,’ said store director, David Perrigo.
