Staff at Specsavers in Porthcawl attended an annual event to give carnival-goers expert eye health advice.

Staff from the store on John Street set up a stall at Porthcawl Town Carnival and gave out information about the eye and hearing services that Specsavers offer.

Free beach balls

Carly Hickson, store manager, and Mairwen Chess, optical assistant, attended the carnival and gave away free beach balls, balloons and leaflets.

They also spoke to members of the Porthcawl community about the importance of regular sight and hearing tests.

Event was a great success

Claire Edwards, director of Specsavers in Porthcawl, said: ‘The event was a great success with people taking the opportunity to book appointments with us and ask us questions about wearing swimming goggles and sunglasses, which we were able to advise on. It was really positive to meet so many people who had a genuine interest in eye and ear health.’
