Former X Factor contestant Nicholas McDonald swapped the studio for a test room at Specsavers Stirling recently, ensuring his hearing would be in tip top condition for his next performances.
The Stirling opticians and audiologists welcomed the 20-year-old singer for a hearing check because he was concerned about the effect of working near loud speakers on a regular basis. The frame stylists in store also helped the pop star to pick new glasses during this visit.
Susanne Akil, store director at Specsavers Stirling, said: ‘It was great to welcome Nicky into store recently and it’s encouraging to see someone looking after their hearing from his young age, especially when hearing is a vital part of his career.
‘He grabbed the attention of quite a few customers in store during his visit, including Mrs Challenger who posed for a picture and extended an invitation to her 103rd birthday.
‘From the age of 50 we would recommend you have a hearing check every year but if you have any cause for concern at a younger age, your local Specsavers will be happy to offer you advice.’
