Plymstock pupils will be safe on the roads
Specsavers in Plymstock has helped local children stay safe on the roads in the dark by donating high visibility vests.
The store has donated the vests to pupils at Dunstone Primary and Goosewell Primary ahead of Road Safety Week, an initiative by the charity Brake to promote safety on the roads
Children are safe
Store director Paul Denham says: ‘We want to make sure that children are safe in Plymstock and visible at night as winter is fast approaching.
‘The clocks have now gone back and the nights are getting darker and so we hope our donation will put parents' minds at ease when they’re escorting their children to and from school.’
Brake is a national road safety charity which exists to prevent deaths and injuries which happen on roads on a daily basis, through campaigns and other funding. The charity also promotes safe and sustainable road use and effective road safety policies.
