Phil’s marathon task in aid of RNIB
A team member at Bridgnorth Specsavers has raised nearly £500 after taking part in the Great North Run in Newcastle Upton Tyne on 13 September.
Dispensing optician, Phil Clarke ran the 13.1 mile course to raise money for the Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB).
‘The marathon went really well, and I was happy with my time,’ said Phil. ‘The fundraising target was £300 so thanks to the generosity of customers, colleagues, family and friends, I’ve exceeded my goal. It’s been a pleasure to raise money for the RNIB, a charity which means a lot to us at Specsavers.’
The RNIB has been helping people with sight loss since 1868, providing practical and emotional support.
