The Longton team went through the pain barrier recently when they underwent a leg-waxing session for charity.

The men amongst the Specsavers team were challenged by retail director Tracey Britton to see if they were brave enough to take part, raising money for the local hospital’s neonatal unit.

A hair-raising challenge

Staff members Steve Collier, Dylan Tatton, Jack Alcock and Dan Walters were amongst the plucky few involved in the gruelling grooming exercise.

Tracey said: ‘There was a bit of screaming going on but, everyone who took part proved themselves brave for a great cause.’

The staff managed to raise over £600 for the neonatal unit at the University of North Midlands Hospital, a cause which they have been raising money for throughout the year.
