Specsavers in Ormskirk joined Edge Hill University's Fresher's Fair last month in order to meet the new students and tell them about the optical services it provides.

Stand at Edge Hill's Freshers Fair

Staff hosted a Specsavers stand at the fresher's fair and offered optical advice for both glasses and contact lens wearers. Students that came to the stand were treated to an array of promotional gifts including free pens, bottle openers and sweets.

The store was also offering free sight tests and contact lens trails to students.

Lieza Abelton, director at Specsavers in Ormskirk says: 'We've been keen to engage with Edge Hill's students for quite some time now as we know lots of the students wear glasses or contacts and would benefit from knowing about the service we provide for those students at the store.

She continues: 'Lots of students were asking about contact lenses so we were pleased to advise them on this and tell them about our free months trial, which a few signed up for at the event.'
