Opticians think pink for charity
Specsavers Golders Green were tickled pink when all staff members dressed up in shades of the colour while taking part in fundraising activities for Breast Cancer Campaign.
The fundraising activity
From Tuesday 14 October to Friday 17 October, Specsavers in Golders Green, located at 29 Golders Green Road invited residents to join them in raising money.
Bake sales provided by store staff took place as well as glasses repairs and cleaning for a donation and the store raised £54 for the Breast Cancer Research charity.
A word from the director
Store director Tejin Shah said: ‘We really enjoyed getting involved in raising money for such a worthy cause.
‘Breast Cancer Campaign helps thousands of people across the UK every year and we felt the need to join others across the nation in the “wear it pink” day, which then turned into a week!
‘We invited our local community to share the days with us so that Golders Green could help make a difference.’
