Opticians supports local hospices this Christmas
Staff at Specsavers Worcester are supporting Acorns Children’s Hospice and St. Richard’s Hospice in the lead up to Christmas by raffling off two goodie-filled festive hampers.
Customers can be in with a chance to win the hampers, which are filled with treats including biscuits, chocolates and crackers. The raffle will run in-store up until Sunday 20 December with tickets costing £1 each or £2.50 for a strip. All proceeds will be split between the two charities.
‘This Christmas we wanted to lend our support to Acorns and St. Richard’s as they both do excellent work in the local community,’ said Alan Richards, store director. ‘Sadly, while most of us will be enjoying Christmas at home, others will be spending the holidays in St. Richards or Acorns Hospices. By raising money, we’ll be helping to support both charities’ ongoing work.
‘The raffle will run until 20 December so the two lucky winners will be able to pick up their hampers before Christmas, while also helping these very worthwhile causes.’
St. Richard’s Hospice provides care for more than 2,600 patients living with life-threatening illnesses each year, helping them towards the best quality of life possible. Acorns provides care, support, fun and laughter for children living with life-threatening conditions, and their families.
