Spooky charity drive in Newbury
Specsavers in Newbury have raised £161.10 for Macmillan following a Halloween fundraising event.
Staff donned ghoulish garments for the occasion, as well as encouraging people to take part in a competition to win spooky sweet treats.
A word from Gary Alexander, store director at Specsavers Newbury said: ‘Staff loved dressing their scariest to encourage donations for such a worthwhile charity.
Macmillan Cancer Support
‘Macmillan do fantastic work for people who have cancer, so we wanted to use Halloween as an opportunity to raise as much money as possible for them, as well as have some fun ourselves! Thank you to everyone who came in store to make a donation.’
