Staff in Tavistock will be hosting a Zumbathon on Friday 22 April in aid of Guide Dogs.
Zumba for charity
Staff will be donning their lycra and sweat bands to take part in the dance-inspired aerobic exercise class and raise money for Guide Dogs. The event will begin at 6:30pm at King’s on Pixon Lane in Tavistock and will last an hour.
Zumba instructor, Janine Hodge, will be leading the enthusiastic staff and guests through a series of upbeat fitness exercises and dance moves. The event is open to all levels and the money raised from the £5 entry fee will be donated to Guide Dogs.
Sarah Routly, store director, said: ‘All the staff are excited to take part in the Zumbathon and prove just what an agile workforce they are! It should be great fun and we are looking forward to raising as much as possible for Guide Dogs.’
The money raised from the Zumbathon will help Guide Dogs to continue vital work in supporting the blind and partially sighted in the UK. As well as providing guide dogs for the visually impaired, the charity invests in canine and eye disease research, and campaigns for freedom of mobility for people who are blind and partially sighted.
