Specsavers in Hinckley and Lutterworth donated £1 for every sight test throughout Armed Forces Week 2015 (22 to 28 June) to Blind Veterans UK.

First, let me take a selfie

Specsavers in Hinckley and Lutterworth helped celebrate 100 years of the charity’s work helping blind ex-Service men and women, by encouraging donations in the store. As well as dedicating £1 per sight test, store staff will also be encouraging customers to take a selfie using the props provided, for a small donation to the charity.

Specsavers store director for Hinckley and Lutterworth, Abhijit Roy said: ‘The charity is currently supporting more than 4,000 blind veterans and with our help, they hope to reach their target of recruiting 700 new beneficiaries in the coming year.’
