Opticians raise £800 for Leukaemia charity
National blood cancer charity, Leukaemia Care, has been given a donation of more than £800 thanks to a fundraising day at Specsavers in Cowley.
Staff organised a day of fun and games to raise funds for the charity and invited customers and passers-by to join in with the activities. Along with a cake sale, a raffle and face-painting, visitors were treated to an array of games which included matching old and current pictures of the Cowley team, a lucky dip and an ongoing calendar prize draw.
A huge success
‘The day was a huge success and the whole team worked hard throughout the day to raise a total of £841 for Leukaemia Care,’ commented store director, Jason Komodikis. ‘I’d like to say a big thank you to everyone who came into the store on the day to join in with the fun!’
