Opticians paint Croydon yellow for Children in Need
Pudsy fever is coming to Croydon this November as the town’s opticians host a spec-tacular fundraiser.
Eyecare experts from Specsavers stores in Croydon will be donning their Pudsy masks and hosting a family fun day on Saturday 7 November at Specsavers in North End, complete with prize and teddy tombolas.
The stores have already raised more than £300 for Children in Need through an ongoing charity raffle launched last month, and aim to raise £1000 in total.
A word from the stores
Alison Gaskin of Specsavers stores in Croydon said: ‘We’re well on our way to our £1000 target and ready to paint the town yellow on the November 7. We hope to see new and familiar faces as we show Croydon’s support for this special cause.’
The prize raffle will be drawn during the fun day, with more than 20 prizes up for grabs, including single vision specs from Specsavers, a meal for two at Cadillac Diner, four tickets to Cinderella at Fairfield Halls and a chocolate hamper. Tickets cost 50p each or £1 per strip of five tickets.
The nationwide Children in Need televised Appeal Night will take place on Friday 13 November this year.
