Opticians marks 10th anniversary in Allerton
All eyes were on Allerton Specsavers recently as the store celebrated its 10th anniversary.
Having just opened the doors of the brand new 160 Allerton Road store following a £450,000 investment, the Specsavers team invited local families to come along to a fun day to help mark a brand new chapter in the store’s history, with balloon modelling, birthday cupcakes and special discounts on offer for those attending.
A fantastic milestone for the store
Andrew Preston, store director at Specsavers Allerton, says: ‘This is a fantastic milestone for our team. We’re now welcoming the children of parents who have been coming to the store since they were young so we’re very proud of our achievements.
‘Of course, none of this would have been possible without the enduring support of our local community so, on behalf of the whole team and my family, I’d like to say a huge thank you’.
‘We look forward to welcoming customers old and new for many more decades to come.’
A first for Merseyside
The new Allerton store is the first Specsavers in Liverpool and Merseyside to provide an innovative new shopping experience. Customers are now greeted and registered on tablet devices, which are also used to measure and dispense their glasses. The concept, which is being rolled out across all Specsavers stores, is the first of its kind in optics.
The innovative Digital Precision Eyecare system also provides new way of selecting and fitting customers’ glasses, using imaging software on tablet devices.
The store also boasts a new specialist contact lens centre, more optical testing rooms with state-of-the-art computerised testing equipment plus a dedicated hearing centre.
New contact lens suite
The new contact lens suite has been specially designed to be ready for contact lens testing, fitting and aftercare, allowing staff from Allerton Specsavers to support the area’s growing number of contact lens wearers even more efficiently.
