The team from Specsavers in St Helens enjoyed a weekend of fundraising recently, all in aid of Red Nose Day.

A runaway success

26 year old dispensing optician, Jennifer Gregory, ran the local Steve Prescott 10K on Sunday 8 March with Specsavers matching her fundraising, pound-for-pound.

Meanwhile, the rest of the Specsavers team joined in the merriment on Saturday 7 March when the store held a fun day. Customers were treated to face painting and a delicious cake sale while staff donned red attire and the official Specsavers Red Nose Day glasses.

Charity begins at home

Tom Lowry, store director at Specsavers in St Helens, said: ‘We have a fantastic team who are always willing to go the extra mile, or 6.2 in this case, for charity. We looked forward to matching what Jennifer raised to help raise cash for the Red Nose Day appeal.’
