Hucknall helps children see the importance of road safety
The Hucknall team got behind Road Safety Week (23 - 29 November) on Wednesday 25 November to deliver an assembly on road safety to local school children, as well as a haul of high-visibility vests.
The store donated 200 high-vis vests to Edgewood Primary School when staff from the store presented an assembly about how to keep safe near roads.
Janet Archer, store director, said: ‘Specsavers has been co-sponsors of national Road Safety Week for a number of years and children’s safety is especially important to us. These vests really do make a difference by improving the visibility of youngsters in the dark – we hope that they give parents and teachers more peace of mind when kids are out and about.’
Specsavers is the co-sponsor of Road Safety Week, the UK’s flagship road safety event, which is organised by charity Brake. Visit www.roadsafetyweek.org.uk for more information.
