The staff in Sutton raised just under £100 for charity Ashfield Voluntary Action (AVA) through their Father’s Day fundraising.

On Saturday 13 June, the team raised £88 through cake sales and face painters in store. They also raffled a home-made cake in the shape of an England football shirt. The winner, Brendan Norcott, from Sutton came into store to collect his prize.

Store director, Nigel Davidson, said: ‘These in-store events are something that we will keep repeating. Organised by our capable staff, they raise a lot of money for our chosen charity, AVA, and are fantastic for team morale. It’s great to see customers participate in the name of charity; I hope Brendan enjoyed his cake!’

Ashfield Voluntary Action is a voluntary group which has served community groups and individuals in  Ashfield for more than 18 years through project and support work.
