This year's Road Safety Week is being supported by Specsavers, including the Middleton branch, by providing high-visibility vests to a number of local schools and groups such as Brownies, Guides and Scouts.

Darker evenings

At this time of year with the dark mornings and nights, combined with increasingly wintry weather, it can be difficult for motorists to see pedestrians. Many children are walking home from school at dusk, which is a particularly hazardous time.

Specsavers is pledging its commitment to road safety by providing high-visibility vests, which will improve the safety of children when out and about by making it easier for motorists to spot them.

High-vis vests

Selected Specsavers stores across the region still have high-visibility vests available to donate. Contact your local Specsavers store to enquire about the vests.
