Encouraging locals to ‘paws’ for thought
Deprived animals at an Exmouth rescue centre will be treated to new goodies this November as Specsavers calls for donations from residents.
The initiative will see the store acting as a collection point for locals to donate animal supplies to local charity, Animal Rescue Centre.
The store will be taking collections from Sunday 1 November and will be continuing the collection until Saturday 14 November. The Animal Rescue Centre needs donations of: thin pet blankets, tinned pet food, pet treats and toys.
Ria Heskins, store director of Specsavers Exmouth, said: ‘We’re really excited to be doing our bit to help a local charity, especially one that provides such great care and hope for animals that need a second chance.
‘We’ve held collections in store before with great success and we really hope that locals will get behind our latest charity initiative and donate any animal supplies, from food and bedding to toys and other accessories, for deprived animals.’
