Specsavers Hucknall is seeking donations of Easter chocolate for their collection for Engage Food Bank

On Wednesday 23 March, staff at Specsavers in Hucknall will be donating Easter collections to the local food bank.

The team at 56 High Street is appealing to customers and the community to donate any spare Easter eggs to their collection for Engage Food Bank, which will go to local children who may not get any chocolate this year.

Helping those less fortunate this easter

The store will be collecting over the Easter period from Tuesday 15 March until Monday 21 March.

Store community champion, Hannah Beale, said: ‘We are delighted to have the opportunity to make a difference to families and children in our local community. Many of us will enjoy cracking open a chocolate egg this Easter, so it’s a good time to do something for those around us who might not be so fortunate. We encourage our customers to get involved and would really appreciate any donations in the run up to Easter.’

The Hucknall Engage Food Bank provides emergency food for families who are experiencing a financial crisis and cannot afford substantial meals. The food bank can be found at the community resource centre along with many other volunteer run schemes as part of the organisation Under One Roof.
