The team at Specsavers in Yardley has supported the South Yardley Library with a donation towards their Summer Reading Challenge.

The donation went towards the Library’s celebration event, held in September, which saw some 150 local people come together.

The Summer Reading Challenge encourages children to read and review books during the summer holidays, using their local libraries as a resource.

‘Literacy is something we feel particularly strongly about, making the association between good vision and reading, so we were more than happy to help,’ said store director Dee Browning.
