The team in Plymouth swapped their ophthalmoscopes for coffee mugs and cakes to support Macmillan Cancer Support, raising a total of £141.
Macmillan World's Biggest Coffee Morning
On 25th September, the team sold cakes in aid of the Macmillan World’s Biggest Coffee Morning.
Philip Gray, store director of Specsavers in Plymouth, Plymstock and Saltash, said: ‘It was great to hold a coffee morning to support Macmillan. ‘The charity does fantastic work helping those affected by cancer, so it’s vital that we continue supporting them by raising as much money as possible. Thank you to all who came in to make a donation – together, we are proud to have helped make a difference.’
Macmillan Cancer Support is a national charity committed to improving the quality of life for all people affected by cancer. The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning is the charity’s biggest fundraising event and in 2014 they raised a record breaking £25 million, with over 154,000 people signed up.
